TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR OH MY GOLD GIVEAWAY CONTEST

 

1. This Oh My Gold Giveaway Contest (“Contest“) is organised by U Mobile Sdn Bhd Registration No. 199101013657 (223969-U) (“U Mobile“) which will commence at 00:01 a.m on 18 November 2021 and will end at 11.59 p.m on 18 February 2022 (“Contest Period“).

 

2. All entries received before or after the Contest Period will be automatically disqualified.

 

3. By participating in this Contest, you agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions below (“Terms and Conditions”).

 

4. Contest Eligibility

 

a. This Contest is open to all Active new and existing U Mobile prepaid subscribers (Corporate account not included). “Active” means able to make and receive calls.

 

b. U Mobile’s employees, agencies, vendors and their immediate family members are not allowed to participate in this Contest.

 

c. U Mobile reserves the right to reject any entries or disqualify any participant without assigning any reason.

 

d. Participants who are below the age of 18 years old are deemed to have obtained the consent of their parents or guardians to participate in this Contest.

 

5. Contest Mechanics

 

a. To participate in this Contest, you are required to successfully complete any of following transactions within the Contest Period and you will be entitled to receive the number of points as stated the Transaction Table below:

b. When you complete the step listed in paragraph 5(a) above, you will be deemed to be a participant of the Contest. No entry form is required.

 

c. You may check your total points collected at the Contest webpage at omg.u.com.my (“Contest Website”). The points will reflect the last transaction or subscription as of the previous day at 11:59 pm and will be refreshed at 5 p.m on daily basis. As an example, if you check the points on 25 November 2021 at 5 p.m onwards, the total points shown in the Contest Website will be as of 24 November 2021, 11.59 p.m. If prior to 5 p.m, the total points shown will be as of 23 November 2021.

 

d. You are required to complete the transactions specified in the Transaction Table and available accumulated points at the end of Contest Period to be shortlisted to win the Grand Prizes or Second Prizes.

 

e. U Mobile reserves the right to change any of the transactions and points stated in the Transaction Table at any time. Any such change will be published on our website.

 

f. Flash Deal

 

During the specific events stated the Flash Deal Schedule table below, you will receive additional points if you complete the transactions within the specified period (“Flash Deal”). For example: You will get triple points if you purchase GX30 via MyUMobile App during the Flash Deal. Total points received are 105 points (35 X3).

(ii) MyUMobile App Flash Deal

 

a. Extra points will be allocated in accordance with paragraph 5(c). Example: If you purchase GX38 via MyUMobile App on 12 December 2021, you will get total points of 135 (45 x3) points within 24 hours.

 

b. For Top Spender, the participants will be selected based on accumulative amount spent (RM) during the respective Promo Period. The shortlisted participants for Top Spender are required to answer all 3 questions posted by U Mobile to win the prizes. If any of the questions are not answered correctly after 3 attempts, or if U Mobile is unable to contact the shortlisted participant after 3 voice call attempts, the shortlisted participant will be disqualified and the next shortlisted participant will be contacted.

 

c. U Mobile will notify the shortlisted participants of Top Spender via phone call within 7 days after the respective Promo Period ends. U Mobile reserves the right to disqualify and select another shortlisted participant if the shortlisted participant is unable to be contacted. U Mobile may use any other method or medium it deems fit to notify the winners.

 

d. The Philips 43” LED TV will be delivered to the winners’ registered address within 30 days from the end of the respective Promo Period.

 

e. The Philips 43” LED TV will be under warranty until 1st August 2023. For any warranty claims, please contact Senheng Electric Customer Careline Centre Department at ccc@senheng.com.my for assistance.

 

f. Any after sales warranty and service are subject to the terms and conditions of Senheng Electric Sdn Bhd and winner shall refer to the company for any changes in its terms and conditions.

 

6.  Prizes and Winners Selection

 

a. There are 3 tiers of prizes which comprise of Progressive Prizes, Second Prizes and Grand Prizes.

 

b. Progressive Prizes

 

i. Progressive Prizes are the rewards that you can redeem using your accumulated points as set out in the Table below. Your points will be deducted upon successful redemption.

ii. The rewards redemption will be via the Contest Website, where you may redeem maximum of 3 different rewards in a day (for each Prepaid line). Each redemption is unique for 1 type of reward a day. For example: You can redeem 1GB data, RM1 credit and 10 mins local voice for 50 points each (total 150 points). However, you are not entitled to redeem RM1 credit x 3 times in a day.

 

iiii. The quantity of each reward is subject to availability and will be on first come first served basis.

 

iv. Rewards will be credited to your prepaid account within 72 hours upon redemption. You will receive SMS or MyUMobile App push notification once the rewards have been credited.

 

v. Validity of the prepaid credits, data and local voice call is per below table:

vi. Any usage involving calls or data will be deducted from the prepaid credits, data and local voice first after which such usage will be deducted from your available credits (from data or call plans), if any.

 

vii. The Shopee vouchers and Mobile Legends diamonds rewards will be available in your MyUMobile App (under My Vouchers tab). You are required to claim the rewards via MyUMobile App by downloading the MyUMobile App. The e-vouchers are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash in full or in part and cannot be combined with any other offers, promotions or discounts. The e-voucher must not be sold to any third party. If U Mobile finds that the e-voucher is sold, the unique e-voucher code will be de-activated and will not be usable. U Mobile is not responsible for the merchantability of the e-voucher.

 

c. Grand Prizes and Second Prizes

 

U Mobile will shortlist participants with the highest accumulated points by the end of Contest Period based on the following table:

21 participants with the highest accumulated points during Contest Period will be shortlisted. (i.e: the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so forth until 21st participants with the highest points)

Subsequent 2100 participants with the highest accumulated points will be shortlisted (i.e: the 22nd, 23rd, 24th and so forth until 2122th participants with highest points).

d. The shortlisted participants for Grand Prizes are required to answer all 3 questions posed by U Mobile to be the winners of the Contest. If any of the questions are not answered correctly after 3 attempts, or if U Mobile is unable to contact the shortlisted participant after 3 voice call attempts, the shortlisted participant will be disqualified and the next shortlisted participant will be contacted.

 

e. U Mobile will notify the winners of Grand Prizes via phone call and the winners will be required to select the nearest outlet for collection of the Grand Prize (“Collection Venue”). Winners will receive an email containing details of Collection Venue and an encrypted password to be presented for prize collection at the selected Collection Venue.

 

f. The prizes must be collected by the winners at the Collection Venue on the date and time to be notified by U Mobile. All unclaimed prizes if not collected within 30 days from the date or any other period as notified by U Mobile, will then be forfeited. Any winner whose prizes has been forfeited will not be entitled to any payment or compensation.

 

g. U Mobile reserves the right to disqualify and select another shortlisted participant if the winner is unable to be contacted. U Mobile will notify the winners for other prizes via SMS. U Mobile may use any other method or medium it deems fit to notify the winners.

 

h. Each shortlisted participant (based on each unique Malaysian Identity Card or Passport ID) is eligible to win either Monthly Grand Prize, Consolation Prize or Top Spender. If a shortlisted participant is eligible to win more than one prize during the Contest Period, the shortlisted participant shall receive the prize of higher value. As an example, if a participant is eligible to win both the Monthly Grand Prize and Consolation Prize at the end of Contest Period, he/she will only receive the Grand Prize.

 

i. If 2 or more different Prepaid lines belong to the same Malaysian Identity Card or Passport ID holder, and the Prepaid lines are eligible for Consolation Prize, the participant is only eligible to one Consolation Prize.

 

j. Winners must bear all the expenses relating to the collection of the prizes including travelling and transportation expenses. If the winner is unable to collect the prize personally, the winner may appoint a representative to collect on the winner’s behalf by producing a letter of authorization containing the representative’s details. The photocopy NRIC/passport (front and back) of the authorized person must also be produced upon collection of the prize for verification purpose.

 

k. The Second Prizes will be issued to winners via MyUMobile App and winners will be notified via app notification/ SMS. Winners are required to claim the prizes via MyUMobile App by downloading MyUMobile App (under My Vouchers tab).

 

l. U Mobile reserves the right to disqualify the winners at sole discretion, if there is any inconsistency of data between the data submitted upon the collection of prizes and the data recorded in U Mobile’s system, and in the event of fraudulent conduct.

 

m. The participants must ensure that their prepaid accounts are Active during the Contest Period and at the point of collection or redemption of the prizes.

 

n. The prize is non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash, credit or rebate in full or in part, and any prizes shown in U Mobile’s website, U Mobile’s social media pages, advertisements and Contest materials are for photography or illustration purposes only.

 

o. The winner is bound by the terms and conditions that come with the prize. The acceptance of prize indicates the acknowledgment and agreement of such terms and conditions.

 

p. In the event that a prize giving ceremony is being held, the winners are required to attend at the winners’ own cost and expense. In the event the winner is not able to attend the prize giving ceremony the winner must nominate a representative to be present at the prize giving ceremony to accept the prize on the winners’ behalf otherwise U Mobile shall re-select the winners.

 

q. The prizes are given on “as is” basis. U Mobile reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar value at any time without prior notice. U Mobile is not responsible for the merchantability of the prizes.

 

r. Any points earned will be forfeited at the end of the Contest Period or if your Prepaid line is terminated.

 

7. General

 

a. U Mobile’s decisions on any matter relating to this Contest are final and binding on all participants. If any matters arise which are not covered in these Terms and Conditions, they will be determined solely by U Mobile.

 

b. U Mobile may change any of these Terms and Conditions including terminating or suspending this Contest and extending the Contest Period. Any such change will be announced on our website. It is your responsibility to check these Terms and Conditions on our website and if you do not agree to any of the changes, you must immediately cease participation in the Contest.

 

c. All prizes are accepted entirely at the risk of the participants. To the extent permitted by law, U Mobile excludes all liability in connection with this Contest. All participants and if the participants are below 18 years of age, their parents or guardians agree to release U Mobile from and indemnify U Mobile against all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, for loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) or breach of any of these Terms and Conditions; whether direct or indirect, special or consequential arising out of participation in this Contest.

 

d. By participating in the Contest, all participants: –

 

(i) consent for U Mobile to collect, record, hold, store, use and disclose their personal information for purposes which are necessary or related to the participation in the Contest;

 

(ii) consent for U Mobile to disclose or publish their personal information such as their names and identities and any general information that U Mobile sees fit about the participants in any media, marketing or advertising materials; and

 

(iii) grant U Mobile the absolute and unrestricted right to modify, use and publish any still or moving images of the participants for any promotional, marketing, commercial or other related purpose, without any payment or compensation.

 

e. The subscription and use of U Mobile’s Prepaid mobile services are subject to U Mobile’s standard Prepaid Terms and Conditions and where applicable, these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any inconsistency, U Mobile’s standard Prepaid Terms and Conditions, as the case may be, will apply to the extent of such inconsistency.

 

f. The Contest and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The participants agree that the Courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over all matters arising from this Contest.
