TEAMS taking part in the Panasonic Open futsal competition, to be held at the Panasonic Sports Complex in Shah Alam on Nov 18, can look forward to attractive prizes.
Besides the cash prizes offered by the organisers, the top four teams will receive products from sponsors Figos, 100 Plus and Giant.

Panasonic Human Resource Management Group director R. Naidu said they were pleased to have supportive sponsors.
“The sponsors have been generous and we are happy to pass on their contribution to the participating teams,” Naidu said after the sponsorship ceremony.
Figos managing director Tang Kok Wai said they were committed towards the promotion of futsal and would like the competition to be a success.
“We will be presenting products to the top four teams. The products will be equivalent to the cash prizes offered to the teams. We will also be giving products to the first 48 teams that register for the competition,” said Tang.
This year’s futsal competition will be an open affair. Last year, the organisers had limited participation to only government agencies and industries based in Shah Alam.
The organisers are expecting about 50 teams for the men’s category and 20 for the women’s category. After the preliminary rounds, the top two teams from each group will advance to the knock-out stage.
The champions will receive RM1,000 and the runners-up, RM750, while the third and fourth placed teams will receive RM500 and RM250, respectively.
Each team is allowed to register a maximum of eight players. The entry fee per team is RM160. The closing date is Nov 11 and the draw for the competition will be held on Nov 15. For more information and entry forms, call 03-5541 6933.
