How To Play:
Each player is required to complete each shot within 20 seconds, otherwise he/she loses the turn to his/her opponent.
The winner of a game is determined by the total score collected at the end of the game. Points are awarded based on the following system: Ball Number 1 = 1 point, Ball Number 2 = 2 points, Ball Number 3 = 3 points, etc.
Player is allowed to shoot/pocket any pool ball of his/her choice at random i.e. not adhering to pool ball number sequence.
Each player can continue to play as long as he/she is able to pocket a pool ball within 20 seconds. The moment he/she is unable to do so, he/she loses the turn to his/her opponent.
However, should the player pocket the cue ball, he/she will also lose his/her turn to play.
Each player has 1 Power Shot to use in the course of a game. Answering the Power Shot question correctly allows the player to choose a ball to be potted automatically. Answers to the Power Shot questions can be found on http://www.guinness.com and http://www.guinness9balltour.com. Each Power Shot must be answered within 2 minutes.
A player’s chance to pocket a ball will be forfeited in the following situations: (a) An incorrect answer is given for the Power Shot question. (b) The 2 minutes time allotted to answer the Power Shot question has lapsed. (c) Player fails to pocket a pool ball or pockets the cue ball.
The winner of the Guinness Pool Challenge Contest is determined based on total accumulated points throughout the Contest period. In the event of a tie, the winner will be the player who has played the Guinness Pool Challenge with the highest number of unique opponents. Should there still be a tie, the winner will then be the player who registered first as recorded by the web server system clock on http://www.guinness.com.my
DSPL, their appointed agency’s and/or judges’ decisions are final and binding and any queries, complaints, letters, telephone calls or correspondence whatsoever in respect of the same will not be entertained. The judging will take place in Malaysia.
A full game must be completed before a score can be submitted i.e. only the cue ball should be left at the end of the game. To be eligible to win the prizes, all players must register themselves.
The Grand Prize winner will receive USD2,500, a trip for 2 to Bali and selected Guinness merchandise. The next top 9 winners will receive USD250 and selected Guinness merchandise.
All prizes are given on an “As Is” basis. DSPL reserves the right to substitute prizes in whole or in part with that of similar value at any time without prior notice, liability or compensation to any participant or any other party. All prizes are non-transferable and not exchangeable or redeemable for cash, credit and kind, in part or in full.
Pursuant to clause 1 of these terms and conditions, a winner residing outside Malaysia, Singapore or Indonesia must arrange and pay for his/her own collection and transportation of the prizes.
The trip for 2 to Bali only covers the cost of return flights for 2 from either Malaysia, Singapore or Indonesia (whichever is most convenient) and accommodation for 2. All other costs must be borne by the winner.
Winners will have to bear any government taxes or additional costs that may be incurred as a result of winning a prize.
DSPL does not take responsibility for prizes lost, damaged or stolen during or after collection and/or transportation.
