Win 100,000 Enrich Miles Contest Terms & Conditions

Contest Period

1. This Hong Leong Bank Berhad’s (“HLB”) “Win 100,000 Enrich Miles” Contest (“Contest”) shall run from 1st August 2008 to 31st September 2008 (both dates inclusive) (“Contest Period”)

Eligibility

2. The Contest is open to ALL HLB Principal and Supplementary Credit Cardmembers (“Cardmembers”). Cardmembers in this Contest refers to all HLB Cardmembers, except those describe in Clause 3.

3. The following persons are NOT eligible to participate in the Contest:
1. Employees of HLB and their immediate families (parents, spouse and children);
2. Advertising agencies and/or HLB’s appointed representatives and their immediate families (parents, spouse and children);
3. Holders of HLB Credit Card(s) NOT issued in Malaysia; and
4. Holders of Zing Touch N Go Card(s), Corporate Card(s) and Mobile Money

CONTEST MECHANICS

Grand Prize – 1x 100,000 Enrich Miles

4. Applicable to ALL existing Cardmembers, including Principal and Supplementary Credit Cardmembers.

5. To participate, Cardmembers are required to purchase their Malaysia Airline (“MAS”) air ticket(s) using their Hong Leong Credit Card.

6. No minimum spend amount required.

7. Every valid air ticket(s) purchases made with MAS using the Principal and/or Supplementary Credit Card(s) will earn the Cardmember one (1) Contest entry.

8. Supplementary Credit Cardmembers are eligible to participate to win for the Grand Prize, however are NOT entitled to be awarded the Grand Prize. In the event the Supplementary Credit Cardmember Contest entry is selected, the Principal Credit Cardmember will be awarded the Grand Prize.

9. Earning of Contest entry is only valid for MAS transactions made in Malaysia and posted in HLB’s system during the Contest Period.

10. Cardmembers do not need to submit any contest entry form(s) or mail-in any transaction slips or send any SMS as proof of transaction(s) to participate in the Contest. Cardmembers eligibility will be tracked automatically by HLB system.

11. There is no limit to the number of entries Cardmembers can earn.

12. HLB will shortlist fifty (50) Cardmembers by random selection in HLB’s system at the end of the Contest Period based on the transaction posted and reflected in HLB’s system. The shorlisted Cardmembers will then be contacted by HLB’s representative at the latest telephone number(s) furnished to HLB by the Cardmember as shown in HLB’s records ONCE at any time during office hours to answer two (2) questions .

13. For any reason(s) if the shortlisted Cardmember(s) fails to answer the telephone call after 5 rings after being contacted by HLB or HLB’s appointed representatives for the Question & Answer session, the Cardmember(s) is deemed to have missed the winning chance and HLB or HLB’s appointed representatives will then select another Cardmember for the Question & Answer session.

14. The Cardmember who answer the most question correctly in the fastest time will be declared the winner.

15. Qualified Cardmembers will not be notified on-the-spot whether he/she is the winner after the Question & Answer session has completed. The winner for the Grand Prize will be notified by HLB either in writing or SMS latest by 31 st December 2008. The winner will also be posted on HLB’s website. If Cardmembers do not receive a notification either in writing or SMS from HLB before 31 st December 2008, the Cardmember is deemed NOT the winner for the Grand Prize.

Grand Prize

16. There will only be ONE (1) winner throughout the Contest Period.

17. The winner for the Grand Prize will be awarded with one hundred thousand (100,000) Enrich Miles.

18. The winner will need to have a valid Enrich Membership account registered with MAS Enrich to be entitled to the 100,000 Enrich Miles.

19. The Grand Prize will be uploaded into the winner Enrich Membership account by MAS Enrich.

20. The prizes will be uploaded to the winners Enrich Membership account as recorded in MAS Enrich system within 45 working days after the announcement in writing has been made. No change of Enrich Membership account number is permitted.

21. Proof of delivery is by way of written confirmation from MAS Enrich. HLB will not be responsible for any delay in delivery of the Grand Prize.

22. It is the Cardmember responsibility to inform HLB Card Center in writing no later than 1 month from the expiry of the announcement date for non-receipt of prize(s). Failing which, the Cardmember shall be deemed to be have had received and accepted the Grand Prize from HLB.

23. The Grand Prize are non-transferable to any 3rd party and non-exchangeable for up-front cash, credit or kind. HLB reserves the rights to substitute any of the prizes with a product or service with similar value at any time without prior notice.

24. The winner of the Contest shall personally bear and be responsible for ALL incidental costs relating to accepting the prize including but not limited to any applicable taxes, insurance payments, registration fees, processing fees, handling fees and all other personal expenses.

25. HLB does not accept any liability whatsoever (including negligence) with respect to death, injury, any losses, damages or accidents arising from the use of the prize(s) won by the winners.

26. HLB gives no representation or warranty with respect to the suitability of the prize(s). HLB will bear no responsibility for resolving disputes with MAS and the winners are to deal directly with MAS for all issues relating to Enrich Miles.

GENERAL

27. The credit card account(s) of the winners of the Contest MUST BE in good standing, MUST NOT be delinquent and MUST NOT be in breach of any T&C of HLB’s Cardmember Agreement. The winners of the Contest whose credit card account(s) believed to be operated fraudulently and/or that their HLB credit card(s) are invalid or cancelled within HLB’s definition will be disqualified and HLB reserves the right to disallow the affected winner to claim the prize(s).

28. HLB reserves the rights to disqualify any contest entry and/or the winners that are eligible or for any whatsoever reasons as HLB may in its absolute discretion deem fit.

29. By participating in the Contest, Cardmembers agree to be bound by the Contest T&C and the decisions of the panel of judges by HLB. The Cardmembers hereby give their consent to and authorize HLB to disclose their particulars to the 3rd party service provider/ representative engaged by HLB for the purpose of the Contest.

30. The Contest T&C contained herein as well as decisions of the judges are final and bind on all Cardmembers. No correspondence and/ or appeal to dispute such decisions will be entertained.

31. HLB reserves the right to use the names, any photographs taken and/ or other information of the winners and/ or representatives without first obtaining any consent from the winners for current and future advertising and promotion purposes, or to be featured in any publicity material related to the Contest without compensation.

32. Winner may be requested to attend a prize giving ceremony of which date and venue will be notified by HLB. HLB will not cover any expenses incurred by the winners to attend the ceremony.

33. HLB reserves the rights at any time without prior notice to add, delete, suspend or vary the Contest T&C contained herein, wholly or in part at its absolute discretion.

34. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination, suspension or extension of the Contest Period shall not entitle the Cardmembers to any claims or compensations against HLB for any and all losses or damages suffered or incurred by the Cardmembers as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination, suspension or extension.

35. In the event of any discrepancies, ambiguities or disputes in the interpretation of any Contest T&C herein in any language, the English version shall prevail.
