Terms & Conditions

1. The promotion is valid only at participating KFC outlets, starting from 13th December 2007.
2. The promotion is open to all Malaysians who are valid MasterCard branded cardholders (both principal and supplementary cardholders), except for employees and immediate family members of KFC Holdings (M) Bhd. and MasterCard Asia/Pacific Pte. Ltd., their business partners, affiliated companies, promotion agency, public relations agency, advertising agency and other parties involved in this promotion.
3. The promotion is valid for all purchases made in the participating KFC outlets using only MasterCard PayPass or other MasterCard branded cards.
4. Eligibility: Cardholders must spend a minimum of RM20 with MasterCard PayPass or a minimum of RM30 with other MasterCard in a single transaction to be entitled to:
a. An Instant Reward
b. Be eligible to participate in the Big Spender & Frequent Spender Contest
Only MasterCard transactions that qualify for the Instant Reward will be taken into account for the Big Spender and Frequent Spender Contest.
5. Instant Reward a. Promotion period: starting from 13th December to 31st December 2007 or whilst stocks last, whichever is later. b. Cardholders will receive a redemption voucher which entitles them to redeem any one (1) of the following products per redemption: KFC Colonel Burger; KFC Popcorn Chicken (small); Ice Lemon Tea (regular) or Orange Juice (regular). Vouchers’ Terms & Conditions apply.
6. Big Spender & Frequent Spender Contest
a. Promotion period: 13th December 2007 to 31st January 2008.
b. Cardholders who qualify for the Instant Reward will automatically qualify for the two (2) contest categories:
i. Big Spender x 2 winners throughout the promotion period
ii. Frequent Spender x 2 winners throughout the promotion period
c. Big Spender: The two (2) cardholders with the highest accumulated amount charged to the same MasterCard during the promotion period will win one (1) Sharp 37” LCD TV each. In the event of a tie, the two (2) cardholders with the most number of transactions will win. d. Frequent Spender: The two (2) cardholders with the most number of transactions charged to the same MasterCard during the promotion period will win one (1) Sharp 37” LCD TV each. In the event of a tie, the two (2) cardholders with the higher total amount spent will win.
7. In the event of a further tie in the Big Spender and Frequent Spender Contest, shortlisted cardholders will be contacted to answer a question. A maximum of three (3) attempts will be made to contact each shortlisted cardholder. If all three (3) attempts fail, the next qualified cardholder will be shortlisted. Prizes will be rewarded to the cardholders who correctly answer the qualifying question when contacted.
8. One winner is only entitled to win one prize [i.e. One (1) Big Spender Prize or one (1) Frequent Spender Prize]. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable with cash.
9. KFC Holdings (M) Bhd. and MasterCard Asia/Pacific Pte. Ltd. reserve the right to end the promotion at any time during the promotion period.
10. KFC Holdings (M) Bhd. and MasterCard Asia/Pacific Pte. Ltd. reserve the right to substitute a prize claimed with another prize of the same value, without giving prior notice.
11. KFC Holdings (M) Bhd. and MasterCard Asia/Pacific Pte. Ltd. reserve the right to use the name, address, photograph, particulars and/or documents of all winners for the purpose of advertising and all other forms of publicity from time to time. The winners may be required to attend the prize giving ceremony and/or participate in publicity programmes.
12. KFC Holdings (M) Bhd. and MasterCard Asia/Pacific Pte. Ltd., all its business partners and other parties involved in this promotion, including their directors, officers and/or agents are not liable in any way for the following:
a) any additional expenses incurred for taking part in this promotion;
b) any sort of technical failure;
c) intervention by unauthorised parties during the promotion;
d) electronic or human errors in the administration of promotion and processing of entries; e) any entry that is lost, stolen, damaged, wrongly delivered or not received.
13. All Prize Winners are fully responsible for any injuries, damages or claims resulting from their participation in this promotion or from the redemption of prizes. By accepting or collecting any prize, the winner agrees to indemnify KFC Holdings (M) Bhd. and MasterCard Asia/Pacific Pte. Ltd., all its business partners, and/or other parties related to this promotion, including their directors, officers, employees and agents from any claim, prosecution, judgement, damage, loss or liability incurred related to his/her participation in the promotion, or his/her acceptance or redemption or use of any prize.
14. By participating in this promotion, cardholders agree to adhere strictly to the terms & conditions of this promotion. All decisions made by the judges and organiser are final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.
