Contest Information
1. The Sony Time Sign & Win Contest shall be held from 15 November 2007 to 29 February 2008. It is only applicable at participating Sony Authorized Dealers’ outlets as determined by Sony (M) Sdn Bhd.
2. The Contest will close at 29 February 2008 or such other time that Sony (hereinafter defined) shall decide from time to time. Entries received after the stipulated time will be ineligible for the prize.

3. This contest is open to all customers of Sony (M) Sdn Bhd. Employees of Sony, and its subsidiaries and affiliates, sponsors, agencies, dealers, retailers and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in this Contest.

4. The Sony Time Sign & Win Contest herein refer to
(i) Sign & Win Contest and
(ii) Best Sony Time Signature (Details as stated below)

5. One (1) Sign & Win Form will entitle participant a total of 2 times chance to enter 2 contests (i.e.: one (1) Sign & Win contest and one (1) Grand Prize contest.

Sony Time Sign & Win CONTEST
1. To be eligible for the contest, customers must purchase a minimum of RM1,000 of Sony products in a single receipt. Subject to terms & conditions, for purchase of RM1,000 and above will entitle you to One (1) Sony Time Contest Form. Customer is only entitled to maximum of One (1) Sign & Win form for purchase more than RM1,000.00 of Sony products in a single receipt.
2. Winner are required to submit proof of purchase and return the completed contest form to the same shop of purchase when redeeming prizes.

The Contest and Eligibility

Contest Entries
1. The Contestant must ensure that their Contest entries are complete and accurate. Incomplete, illegible or late entries shall be disqualified.
2.: Sony reserves the right to reject any registration and/or entry at its sole and absolute discretion without having to assign any reasons whatsoever.

3. All Contest entries must be submitted in Bahasa Malaysia or English only and other languages will not be accepted by Sony.

4. Contest entries in any other languages will be rejected by Sony.

Selection of Winners
1. Contest winners will be chosen based on the most creative signature received by Sony.

Judging
1. Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges, on the basis of the most creative signature. The decision of the judges shall be final and binding on all participants and SONY shall not entertain any queries or correspondence in this regard. The winners of the prizes will be contacted individually through the correspondence information given.

Notification of Contest Winners
1. Contest winners will be notified by telephone call to his/ her mobile phone for which the contact number shall be the number used by the Contestant for submission of the answers. Sony reserves the right to use any other method or medium Sony deems fit at its sole and absolute discretion for the purpose of announcing the Contest winners.
2.: Upon request, Contest winners will be required to give their original receipt, contact details, I.C. Number and any other details deemed necessary and relevant by Sony at its discretion within forty eight (48) hours upon receiving the request/notification from Sony.

3. Proof of mailing, faxing, or delivering (in any manner whatsoever) any details to Sony does not denote proof that Sony has received such details

4. Sony reserves the right to forfeit prizes for any Contest winner who does not provide the required details upon receiving the request/notification from Sony.

5. Sony reserves the right to appoint a third party to conduct the verification of Contest winners and to fulfill the delivery of prizes and Contestants agree that Sony may provide all necessary information of Contest winners to such third party to facilitate such service.

3. Sony reserves the right to change the prizes without any prior notification.

4. The Contest winner shall be responsible for all costs in connections with perfecting his/her prize, including but not limited to legal cost, stamp duties, registration and transfer fees, taxes, insurance, spending money and related expenses (such as meals or personal expenses, upgrades etc.) or fees.

5. Each Contest winner shall be entitled to one (1) prize only.

6. Prizes not claimed within One Month upon request/notification from Sony shall be forfeited. Prizes are not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable in any other form for whatever reason. Contest winners are solely responsible for the collection of their prize and Sony and its agents, sponsors and representatives shall have no liability to the Contest winners in any respect whatsoever.

7. Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.

8. Sony reserves the right to request written proof of residency and of the age of any Contest winner before the prize is dispatched or collected.

9. Sony makes no warranties or representations whatsoever with respect to the prize and shall not be responsible nor liable for any problems and/or damage thereto or arising therefrom.

10. Prizes must be claimed in person unless Sony advises otherwise. Identification which includes a photograph will be required (examples include identification card/drivers license/passport which displays a photograph of the Contest winner). Where Sony elects to post a prize to a Contest winner no responsibility will be accepted by Sony for the safe and effective postal delivery of the prize.

11. In special situations, and subject to the absolute discretion of Sony, a Contest winner may nominate a designated representative to collect a prize. The representative will be required to present written authorisation from the Contest winner and identification which includes a photograph for both the Contest winner and their representative.

12. In the event that a Contest winner chooses not to accept a prize, they forfeit any and all claims to that prize, which will be dealt with according to the absolute discretion of Sony.

13. The Contest winner(s) of any prize(s) may at the absolute discretion of Sony be required to execute a deed of release and indemnity in a form prescribed by Sony in order to receive the prize.

14. All prizes are accepted entirely at the risk of the Contest winner, and Sony excludes all warranties in connection with any prize to the extent permitted by law. Contest winners shall comply with the terms and conditions of each prize.

Proof of Receipt
1. Proof of sent by a Contestant does not denote proof that the entry was received by Sony.

Prize Giving Ceremony
1. In the event Sony has a prize giving ceremony, the Contest winner(s) are required to attend at his/her own cost and expense to collect the prize. In the event the Contest winner is not able to attend the prize giving ceremony, the Contest winner must nominate a representative to be present at the prize giving ceremony to accept the prize on his/her behalf.

Publicity
1. Sony reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to use the nicknames, names, photographs, voice or video recordings and entries of the Contest winner(s) and/or representatives without first obtaining any consent nor making any payment whatsoever to the Contest winner(s) and/or representatives for publicity, advertising, trade or promotion purposes in any media.

Use of Mobile Numbers
1. Sony and/or its affiliates reserve the right to send messages to the Contestants mobile phone numbers containing information and promotional activities regarding the Contest.
2.: If a Contestant does not wish to receive such messages the Contestant is required to call and inform Sony accordingly by calling Sony’s call centre at 1300-88-1233.

Adherence to Contest Terms & Conditions
1. All Contestants shall be required to adhere to the Contest Terms and Conditions including any changes made thereto. Sony reserves the right to forfeit the prize(s) in the event any of the Contest Terms and Conditions are not adhered to.

Variation to the Terms & Conditions
1. Sony reserves the right to change, amend, delete or add to these Contest Terms and Conditions without prior notice at any time and the Contestants shall be bound to such changes.

Liability
1. Sony will not be responsible or liable for:
a. any problem, loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by any party due to any delay and/or failure in receiving and sending a as a result of any network, communication or system error, interruption and/or failure experienced by the participating mobile phone operators and/or by Sony and/or resulting from participation or the downloading of any materials in the Contest. In the event of such error, interruption and/or failure, Sony shall not be responsible or liable for any failure by any Contestant to participate in the Contest at any time.
b. any problem, damage or loss of whatsoever nature to any Contestant, or their authorised representatives resulting from their participation in the Contest.
c. any error (including error in notification of Contest winners), omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorized access to entries, or entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control.

Disqualification
1. Sony reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that it determines to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, to be acting in breach or potential breach of these Contest Terms and Conditions. No correspondence shall be entertained.

Suspension
1. Sony further reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend or delay the Contest in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
