Samsung Power & Grace Online Photography Competition

Held in conjunction with the FEI 5 Star KL Grand Prix 2007, the online photography competition is open to both amateur and professional photographers who are interested in capturing horses in an artistic way and to depict them as creatively as possible in unique settings. This competition enables participants to portray pictures of horses in a distinctive and creative way. Originality and innovation will be a key ingredient in the judging process. This will be the 2nd competition in the series of a nationwide photography competitions related to the world of horses. The objective of this competition is to provide a stage for amateur and professional photographers to capture the horse in its elements and settings while being very imaginative.

THE PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION AIMS TO ACHIEVE THE FOLLOWING:

Encourage photographers to use their creativity to depict horses in a very innovative, original and creative fashion.
To provide a springboard for photographers to demonstrate skills, talent and ideas using the horse as the subject matter of their creativity.

DESCRIPTION:
Samsung Power & Grace Short Film Competition

Held in conjunction with the FEI 5 Star KL Grand Prix 2007, the competition aims to draw the attention and introduce budding filmmakers to the world of horses. This is an ideal platform for the younger generation to be involved indirectly in equestrian sports and will help promote the understanding for the nature of horses and portray their interpretation via this short film competition. This inaugural competition will be the first nationwide short film competition themed ‘Power & Grace’, a fitting phrase that depicts the nature and characteristic of the horse. Its objectives are to draw the attention of the non-horse community and thus exposing equestrian sports to a wider audience. The idea to have such a competition is also to introduce filmmakers to the world of horses and to personify the horse in various perspectives.

THE SHORT FILM COMPETITION AIMS TO ACHIEVE THE FOLLOWING:

To encourage budding filmmakers to use creativity on the beauty, grace, power and magnificence of the horse and depict them.

To promote resourcefulness among budding film directors and enthusiasts by using the horse as the catalyst for their imagination and ingenuity.
To provide a platform for the younger generation to get involved in film making and creating an additional avenue to showcase talents to the Malaysian Film Industry
