DESCRIPTION:
Contest Description
1) This competition is open for all Malaysians only.
2) All entries must suit the theme “50 Years of Nation Building” and at least one of the subjects stated
above. Each entry must be personally shot by the participant.
3) There is no limit on the numbers of entries. Every photo must be colour photo at the measurement of
8R (8” x 10” or 8” x 12”). 8R photo printed on Canon Inkjet paper is also accepted.
4) Each photo should be accompanied by a fully completed entry form (photocopy of entry form is
acceptable); and please paste the entry form at the back of the photo. The photo must be submitted
without any frame decoration.
5) Every participant must submit the 8R photo along with the negative. If the photo is shot using digital
camera, then the 8R photo and the CD (containing that particular photo, which is at least 300 dpi) must
be submitted together.
6) Proof of postage is not proof of receipt. No correspondence will be entertained for any damages or loss.
7) Winning works in any photo contests should not be submitted to this competition.
All entries (photo, negative, CD) are non-returnable, and they shall become and remain the property of
the organiser who reserves the rights to reproduce, publish, or exhibit the materials for the promotional
purposes without notification or payment to participants. The organiser shall not be held responsible
for any legal action against the photographs.
9) The participant is deemed the copyright owner of the photo. The organiser shall not be held responsible
for any copyright issue of the photo.
10) Once the photo is published or exhibited, the organiser shall not be held responsible for any claim or
complaint from anybody who was filmed in the photo without permission. Participant shall be held
responsible for this issue.
11) The organiser will handle all the photos with caution. However, if there is any inevitable damages on
the photos, the organiser shall not be held responsible.
12) Each entry with completed entry form must be sent to “10th Floor, Wisma MCA, 163, Jalan Ampang,
50450 Kuala Lumpur”. Please note down “To: 50 Years of Nation Building National Photography
Competition” on the envelope. Participants are also welcome to submit entry forms personally.
13) Participants can download the entry form from the following website:

14) By participating in this competition, participants agree to be bound by the rules and regulations.
15) Organiser reserves the rights at the absolute discretion to vary or add to any of the rules or regulations
from time to time without prior notice.
16) Each participant is entitled to one award only but the prizes below 2nd Runner up are not bound by this
rule.
17) All winners will be announced in Malaysian dailies and notified by post.
